Steve Leisle grew up in the vicinity of New York City, attending college in Maine, and working at a nuclear power plant in Georgia. After college, Steve settled into the construction business in Durango, where he worked for over ten years refining his skills in straw bale, adobe, log, renovation and custom carpentry. By January 2001, Steve was ready for a new adventure and a greater challenge. He had spent time in Silverton and had grown to love its spectacular landscape, easy access to the outdoors, and affordable land prices. Steve was also ready for a smaller community where he could make a home for himself. So he bought a commercial property and fastidiously renovated it into a live/work space that showcases his many talents in carpentry.
